Speaking of Etajima’s tourist destination, it is the Maritime Self-Defense Force First Technical School. This is a Maritime Self-Defense Force school that has been a school for training elite naval personnel since the Meiji era, and continues to serve as an officer candidate school where education is conducted every day. Tours are held three times on weekdays and four times on holidays, and the educational reference museum exhibits exhibits from the Sino-Japanese War to wills of suicide bombers in the Pacific War, and is extremely valuable. Kakishima-road
A scenic road overlooking the Seto Inland Sea and the cityscape of Hiroshima
This shop is located close to Mitaka Port. Here you can enjoy an eye-poppingly large conger eel tempura bowl. After ordering the main menu, choose the small side dish of your choice. We recommend seating on the terrace! The spectacular scenery that spreads out in front of you is so beautiful that you will be enchanted. Eating conger eel tempura bowl while feeling the sea breeze is sure to make your visit to Etajima even more wonderful. There are private terrace seats, so it’s great if you bring your children!
Enjoy the history of the navy and the spectacular views of the Seto Inland Sea!
The remains of a gun battery near the summit of Mt. Mitaka on Etajima. The site of an artillery battery built for the Baltic Fleet during the Russo-Japanese War. Although it was never actually used as an artillery battery, it was the largest artillery battery in western Japan at the time, so it is open to the general public to convey its history. The dungeon-like atmosphere is sure to be Instagrammable! Best of all, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Seto Inland Sea! It is also an attractive place as an observation deck. We recommend going by car.
You too will have beautiful skin at Etajima’s only natural hot spring!
A day trip hot spring located about 10 minutes walk from Nakamachi Port. The slightly alkaline spring water has the effect of keeping you warm and beautifying your skin, and is sure to soothe your daily fatigue! The bath is a very luxurious space with a modern Japanese feel. The open-air bath is a luxurious bath where you can relax while looking out at the Japanese garden. After you get out of the bath, enjoy a drink at the cafe! There is also terrace seating, so you can spend a luxurious time enjoying the sea breeze.

Mamegashima
All-you-can-eat soy milk soft serve ice cream!
When you come to Etajima, you should definitely stop by Mamegashima. In front of the store is a large “red demon”! The specialty is, of course, the “all-you-can-serve soft serve ice cream”. You can serve as much soft-serve ice cream as you want, so it’s sure to be a hit! There is a huge selection of souvenirs, so we highly recommend buying some Etajima souvenirs. The udon noodles with lots of beans are also very delicious, so this restaurant is recommended for lunch!

Tengu-iwa(big rock)
Etajima’s most scenic spot!
Mount Dabousan on Etajima is the most scenic spot on Etajima, which was used as a filming location for the commercial and movie “Rurouni Kenshin.” The scenery of the monolith that gives off an overwhelming aura and the islands of the Seto Inland Sea is reminiscent of Disneyland! The recommended time is in the evening. Tengu Rock illuminated by the setting sun creates a very solemn atmosphere. A car is the recommended means of transportation! The road is narrow, so please drive safely. The footing is rough, so please wear sneakers or other comfortable shoes!
